Sage Business Cloud Accounting is suitable for most small businesses. It contains all the functional and reporting facilities for debtors, creditors, inventories, banking, general ledger, financial statements, multi-currency (separate module), budgets, VAT, etc, that are customarily found in established desk-top systems. Running in real-time, this cloud software can be accessed anywhere, at any time, on a device with an internet connection.

The purpose of this comprehensive webinar from Sage (it runs for 1 hour 15 mins) is not to explain the cloud concept, but to demonstrate the basic accounting functions incorporated in this product. (For the sake of clarity, I recommend that you switch on subtitles.)

REAL-TIME FEATURES

Numerous real-time features are available, including –

  • Dashboard – Providing a financial overview of the business in real time. The dashboard may be customised by adding, editing or deleting widgets, thus focusing on the key result areas of the business. You can drill down for more detailed data.
  • Analysis Codes – To track, analyse and report on selected areas of the business. (Projects, branches, departments, cost centres, etc.) As you can set up as many budgets as you like, separate budgets may be established for individual analysis codes and compared with actual results for any chosen period.
  • Banking – Bank feeds will automatically import bank statements into your accounting system’s bank accounts each day, rather than having to import them manually or capture individual bank transactions.
  • AutoEntry – You merely scan or photograph relevant documents. AutoEntry then does all the rest, extracting relevant data from the documents and automatically updating your accounting records. Integrates seamlessly with Sage Business Cloud Accounting.
